Narasimha dev apperance day celebrated in Sri Mayapur
Reality does not change by negating it! What happened millions of
years ago and what happens today in India and around the world has
striking similarity. There are hundreds of known incidents experienced
and spoken by real people describing miracles. To devotees it is not a
surprise; to them it is one more pastime of the Lord to mediate on.
Bhagavan Narasimha appeared during satya yuga and protected his devotee
Prahlad. The same Lord Narasimha has appeared on Earth in difference
forms and is worshiped by His loving devotees with awe and reverence.
We just received the following inspiring report from a Mayapur resident:
Have a second thought? Don’t worry. Consciousness is a dynamic thing
and any willing person has an option to change it for better. God is an
extremely merciful person and will help you if you try to understand
Him. Especially the Narasimha dev Deity in Sri Mayapur is especially
merciful and can purify our contaminated hearts quickly. Yes, better to
wake up late then never. Spiritual life is all about real and lasting happiness. One simply has to practice it.
Are you a believer? Has God always been a transcendental reality to you? Want to dive deeper in spirituality? There is a message for you from God Himself!
We just received the following inspiring report from a Mayapur resident:
The half-lion half-man incarnation of Lord Krishna, popularly known as Narasimha made His auspicious appearance on this Earth on the fourteenth day in the month of Vaisakh. Thus in Sri Mayapur, where Narasimha dev has appeared in Person, had a 2-day festival marked by a gorgeous maha abhishek.
On the first day, there was the auspicious Sudarshan homa with the Yantras from the Narasimhadev’s alter presiding the yajna. A special offering of mantra infused water was created from the extra japa of Hare Krishna maha mantra sent by worldwide devotees, which would be used for the Maha abhishek of Sri Narasimhadev next day.
After the homa, Narasimha dev was bathed in different varieties of cooling scented essential oils to wash off the sandalwood paste that he had on for several days. In the evening there was a grand procession around the ISKCON Mayapur campus with aratis, bhoga offerings, rangolis, kirtans with bugles and drums and other musical instruments for the utsava Deity of Narasimha dev from the Gurukula.
The next morning there was an additional special attraction this year by the Gurukula boys. They had a splendid salil vihar festival with fountains, floral decorations and lamps on a small pool created specially for Gurukula’s utsava Deities of Sri Sri Laksmi-Narasimha.
At dusk finally, which is the moment of the appearance of Lord Narasimha, the abhishek of the Lord started. Pancha-gavya, sweet fruit juices, scented waters, etc. were the main ingredients of this awesome abhishek.
One can not help but be amazed at this magnificent sight of the best of milk, yogurt, ghee, honey, and fruit juices pouring onto His mouth and splash or ooze out the other side, collected in huge buckets and distributed. A melodious kirtans of Maha-mantra and occasional jaya dhvanis of Lord Narasimha dev filled up the temple room honoring the Best Friend and Protector of the devotees!
At the very end, this maha abhishek concluded with a spectacular flower petal abhishek of a variety of coloured and scented flowers. It was simply breathtaking!
Sri Nrsimhadeva Bhagavan Ki Jay!Think you are a rationalist who never believes in supernatural? Are you an atheist and is God still an imagination for you? If yes, we have a not-so-polite message for you! Read this, this, this, and this article and search on the Internet or contact us for plenty of recent miracles experienced by real people to get you off that illusion. Lord Narasimha had to kill Hiranyakashipu, but for ordinary people He doesn’t have to take personal trouble. God says in Bhagavad Gita (7.25):
nāhaṁ prakāśaḥ sarvasya yoga-māyā-samāvṛtaḥ
mūḍho ’yaṁ nābhijānāti loko mām ajam avyayam
mūḍho ’yaṁ nābhijānāti loko mām ajam avyayam
TRANSLATION: I am never manifest to the
foolish and unintelligent. For them I am covered by My internal potency,
and therefore they do not know that I am unborn and infallible.

man-manā bhava mad-bhakto mad-yājī māṁ namaskuru
mām evaiṣyasi satyaṁ te pratijāne priyo ’si me
mām evaiṣyasi satyaṁ te pratijāne priyo ’si me
TRANSLATION: Always think of Me, become My
devotee, worship Me and offer your homage unto Me. Thus you will come to
Me without fail. I promise you this because you are My very dear
friend. (Bg 18.65)
